How can I volunteer?
Global Village
Groups of volunteers from all over the world join and help Salvadoran families to build their homes. The volunteers contribute to the reduction in the final cost of the house, while also sharing culture with the families, masons, volunteers, and regional office personnel.
If you would like to participate in a build and you are interested in sharing experiences, friendships, and values with people of various cultures, please contact Patricia Cordero and ask for information on how you can be a part of this wonderful experience.
With Churches and Youth
Habitat for Humanity El Salvador is an interdenominational Christian organization, enabling every person to have a suitable home in his or her community.
Churches can help us in many ways:
- Participating in the work crews in building homes
- Commiting a collection or tithe to donate to Habitat
- Keeping us in your prayers
If you would like more information on the Church program, please contact Carlos Ávalos. Additionally, Habitat for Humanity El Salvador encourages participation from youths and students to benefit the vulnerable sectors of society, but most importantly, to gain a better understanding of the challenges facing many Salvadorans. This is an opportunity to be a direct contributor in changing the lives of many deserving families.

From the United States
Telephone Donations:
Call 1-800-Habitat and explain that you would like to donate to El Salvador.
Online Donations:
Go to Habitat for Humanity and click on “Donate to Habitat” on the right-hand side of the home page and then on “Donate Online". Before you submit your donation, please remember to “Designate Your Gift” to El Salvador. Click on “Habitat national office” and select “El Salvador.”
Mail:
Send your check to Habitat for Humanity International. Please write “El Salvador” in the check memo slot.
From Canada
Telephone Donations:
Call 1-800-667-5137 ext. 230 and explain that you would like to donate to El Salvador.
Online Donations:
Go to Habitat for Humanity Canada and click on the “Donate Now” icon. Regardless of whether you make a general donation or a tribute, please designate your fund to “International Homebuilding” and subsequently to El Salvador.
Mail:
Send your check to Habitat for Humanity Canada. Explain that you want to donate to El Salvador. For more information, please contact Kendal Stewart, Habitat El Salvador International Donor Relations Coordinator.

We invite business to participate in this construction challenge, promoting the leadership and involvement of your business with the most vulnerable families. We invite your employees to experience the reality of our country, in an experience filled with hope. Socially responsible businesses concerned with their human resources motivate their employees at all levels and positions to participate with their time in these social projects.

Benefit Dinner
With the goal of uniting forces to irradicate the substandard housing conditions in El Salvador, for six consecutive years we have offered the Benefit Dinner "Christmas in Action" to help Salvadoran families that still dream of adequate housing.
This event has much emphasis on the promocion of the program and we invite you to share in our achievements and future projections. During the Dinner, the National and International Solidarity Awards are anounced which recognize the most outstanding donors of Habitat for Humanity El Salvador.
We count on the attendance of more than 400 people, and with your contribution you can be sure that it has helped improve the quality of life of many families.
