Habitat El Salvador is particularly sensitive to families who lose their homes in natural disasters. We have developed housing reconstruction programs for families affected by Hurricane Mitch, the 2001 earthquakes, the tremors in Ahuachapán and Tropical Storm Ida. In total, Habitat El Salvador has served 7,000 disaster victims through the construction of 1,400 houses.
